The following report is from John, W4JS in January 2001: There is a reciprocal licensing agreement between Jordan and the USA.  Licensed visitors can get a short-term license, which uses the prefix "JY8", as opposed to long-term resident expats with resident permits who get the "JY9" prefix.  The RJRAS facility was located in "Sport City" when I lived/worked there in 1988-89.
