OH0 – Åland Islands (Archipelago)
Ham Friendly Locations: Rent a wooden houses managed by Viking Line Co. There are hundreds of small and large houses that can be rented. Most houses have enough room to install antennas. All houses are self-catering. This information was provided by Mart, DL6UAA, who last visited on 01/10/98.
Viking Line runs a ferry to OH0, and the Åland Islands (Finland) are
accessible from both Turku and Helsinki on the Finnish mainland and Stockholm
or Kapellskär, Sweden. Website for

Timo, OH1NOA informed me on
January 30, 2001 that the Viking Line is not the only ferry going to OH0. Another very big ferry company is Silja Line
( http://www.silja.fi ), which has routes
between Turku-Stockholm and Helsinki-Stockholm, both via Marienhamn, Aland.
