Dream on! Aves Island is a Nature Reserve and any landing and stay on the island needs a special permit of the Government in Caracas by the military. Landing is only possible by Venezuelan nationals.
The Venezuelan Military will only work with the two radio clubs in YV regarding Aves. That said, some foreign hams have gained “permission” from someone in the Navy to go to Aves, but there are Venezuelan laws that specifically say that amateur licenses for Aves can only be issued to YV hams. Past so-called operations by foreign hams have NOT been accepted for DXCC because of these laws. The IARP does NOT gain you access to Aves Island, it is specifically NOT included. Suffice to say, that only the two leading YV clubs are able to activate this island.
You can see some great pictures of past YV0 operations at DL2GG/YV5's web site: http://hfdx.org
